As an artist I have always been fascinated by the tales and fables to which I used to listen as a young boy. I grew up surrounded by art since most of my relatives were also engaged in traditional art, and was thus inspired to explore the ancient tales and search for their contemporary relevance. When sculpting the image of the Lokeshvara, I felt that the wise quality this enlightened being possessed was its true relevance, a quality transcending all time. Such were my thoughts when giving shape to Lokeshvara in stone.
