'Kukur Tihar or Dog Day'

Money raised is divided equally between canine rescue organisations in Nepal and the Kathmandu Arts Centre.

On Kukur Tihar all dogs are given a red tika on their foreheads, a garland of flowers and are treated with respect. To celebrate this festival a sponsored dog walk will begin at the Royal Over-Seas League, go through St James�s Park, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, finishing at the Nepalese Embassy.
