A Chinese white marble carving of Buddha seated on a stepped rectangular socle, with good slightly smiling face, the well carved robes falling over the edges of the base.

Ming/Qing dynasty, in the style of 6th century AD.

Old repairs to neck, right hand and bottom left corner of base.
