Detail: Reverse View A very beautiful clay tsa tsa in the form of a traveling monk. The monk is seated holding a stupa and a fly wisk. Excellent modelling. Some writing on the reverse side. 16th century. It is concecrated with a number of prayer scrolls slipped into the bottom and paper attatched over the top. The attendant dog is partly gone and there is some damage to the feet. Simple wood stand. Measures 4 1/4 inches high (10.5cm). 5 3/8 inches with the stand 13.5cm. Detail: On Base |
