The Sanskrit caption is edited by Foucher on his page 209, and given in my Part 11. This caption, written in a hand and script different from the six lines of text, can be seen at the upper left near the palm tree. The visible final word is hasta, hand, and thus the gesture is "don't- fear-hand."
