View of the gallery dedicated to Lord Shiva and his family, including Ganesha, his elephant-headed son. Mounted on a pedestal in the foreground is a …th century stone lingam, Shiva’s abstract manifestation as creator of the universe (?), in this case adorned with the four faces of (…?). Note the two showcases in the background, typically suspended from the low ceiling in view of the limited, narrow floor space. The traditional mud floors have been replaced with handmade terracotta tiles.
