The Buddha Aksobhya presides over the Vajra family of powers and deities in the eponymous Vajrayana Buddhism. He holds his vajra symbol on his lap, he is blue in color and looks much like the blue Medicine Buddha but his hand touches the earth and his palm is turned toward himself while the Medicine Buddha’s palm is turned outward in a gesture of generosity.
