Finding an Appraiser |
Posted By: Charlie Posted Date: Oct 02, 2015 (01:28 PM) |
Message Can anyone tell me how to find a good appraiser. I have been collecting jade for a while. I have done the scratch test, and some specific gravity tests so I know which pieces are jade and nephrite. I can now pretty accurately tell jade and nephrite from soapstone and other substances but I am bad at telling age of carving or dating carving. Another question I have is about ivory (I bought several nutskies (sp) and other carvings that are ivory. I am thinking they are over 100 years old, but do not know the laws and regulations on them. Thanks for any assistance anyone can give me. Charlie Post a Response |
