Appraisal of old Chinese paintings... |
Posted By: Daniel Posted Date: Mar 07, 2013 (03:35 PM) |
Message Hello. I would like to get an idea of background and evaluate the price of attached 3 paintings. Thank you... Background: My father got this paintings from a Japanese painter in Morocco in the 1970ties. He made a price evaluation of them in the 1990ties, and was told they were worth about USD $2.000, or YEN 185.000 each. I don't know where dad did this evaluation, he is not with us anymore. All paintings are in a very good state and there are no miss coloring or other defects. They are detailed and of very good quality. They have been behind glass all the time. The horizontal line over one of the painting is only a crack in the glass, no harm to the painting. They are Chinese paintings, and the writing on them seem to be old Mandarin. Painting, Black and white: 132 x 36 cm Painting, Kids and flowers: 44 x 13 cm Painting, White mountains: 91 x 24 cm |
