interesting Chinese bronze vase |
Posted By: Laura Angel Posted Date: Sep 30, 2011 (07:27 PM) |
Message Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone can give me some more information on this bronze vase. This piece was inherited by a friend from a great aunt. It stands about 6 inches high and has what looks like hand done grape clusters, vines, leaves and two mice on the handles on either side of the vase. The bottom had been covered by a piece of blue velvet that we removed to find a square mark filled with what I think are 12 Chinese characters. Any info on when this was made, what the design means, value, etc. would be greatly appraciated! Thanks so much! Laura |
