Carved Bamboo Brush Holder - Translation kai shu/Seals |
Posted By: Elke Posted Date: Sep 20, 2019 (06:21 AM) |
Message Hello Everybody, may anybody have a look and translate the inscription on this finely carved bamboo brush holder, please. I have no idea if it is original and of genuine age, but at least it seems really to be craftmans work and is finely carved bamboo. Any ideas? What are the seals saying and is there any time /date of production given? While searching for hints about this bitong, I found a rather simalar piece, which was sold at Christie`s in 2011. So if mine should be original I would be lucky. Any serious information is welcomed. Thank you, sincerly Elke |
