Message The marks say "Made during the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty" (大明宣徳年製 - Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi). Just keep in mind, these marks are just another part of the decoration on Chinese-style lamp bases that aren't much older than the shiny brass hardware installed in them. Late 20th century at the oldest. Considering the type of glaze they were given to elevate their antique mystique, you might say they're not as old as they're cracked up to be. Best regards, Bill H.
