Re: identify pierced Asian ceramic vase and marks |

Message This is Japanese but not all of the characters are clear enough for me to take a stab at its maker's name. I've seen similar pieces described as everything from a cricket cage to a candle stand to an incense burner. The decoration suggests the piece might date to around 1900 or later, but more serious collectors of Japanese ceramics might have better ideas. Best regards, Bill H Post a Response |
