Message Have been many comments these boards regarding adding colored washes and grime to items to make look old, or to make look like believed item from Qing or Ming dynasty. Is no intrinsic reason why more surface than exposed unglased part of porcelain would have orange-ish color, and look like foot of bottle has had color added. Yes artemisia leaf sometimes used Kangxi period, but could easily be added to new-made piece. Note veins in leaf wrong direction. Good luck, Cal Post a Response |
