Message This is a page from from a "Kusazōshi" (Woodblock printed illustrated literature) From the middle of the Edo period to the middle of Meiji era, a kind of illustrated poular novel published in Edo was called "Kusazoshi" (草双紙). It takes the form of double-leaved centerfold printing, and each page has a picture in which the illustrations and the texts are written in the space. The texts are illegibly obscure in the picture. With regards, I.Nagy Post a Response |
