Sakyamuni Buddha (Sanscrit) / Burkhan (Mongolian) This is the iconographic form of the historical Buddha. His hands are in the mudra of earth-touching and of meditation. The color of his halo and of the radiance behind him vary considerably from one depiction to another and so allow an artist some freedom. |
